Commercial Disclosure

While we are normally booked out well in advance, we only have a short operating period. Therefore, the below terms apply. Cancellations are often difficult to replace at short notice. However, we are a family run business and are proud of our reputation. Therefore, where extenuating circumstances exist, we are willing to help out, if possible.

PAYMENT POLICY

A 40% non-refundable deposit is due within 14 days of receiving a booking confirmation.

The remaining 60% balance is due at minimum 60 days prior to the check-in date.

Bookings made within 60 days of check-in require a non-refundable payment in full.

Credit card payments are processed immediately. Bank transfers must be made within 14 days of receiving the invoice.

ADDITIONAL FEES AND OTHER CHARGES

Fees that may be incurred by customers include but are not limited to credit card handling fees as set by sites such as www.booking.com and www.stripe.com (surchage may apply) and bank transfer fees.

SMOKING POLICY

Kasasagi Lodge has a strict NO SMOKING policy. Smoking (inclusive of vaping and e-cigarettes) is prohibited throughout the building, including the external areas. Evidence of smoking will incur a cleaning fee payable by the guest.

CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY

We strongly suggest that you purchase travel insurance shortly after booking.

For cancellations made more than 60 days prior to arrival date, the 40% booking deposit will be forfeited. Any additional payments will be refunded.

For cancellations made 60 days or less than prior to arrival, no refunds are available. At management discretion, subject to circumstances, a credit note may be provided for use at a future stay.

Deposits will be lost for cancellations made within 60 days of the check-in date.

SALES PRICE

Room rates are variable and dependent upon room type and booking calendar (e.g. peak, shoulder, special rates). Pricing is subject to annual review. The price of each room type advertised includes consumption tax.

PRIVACY POLICY

In accordance with government policy, we are required to retain guest information for three years, including government-issued identification. All personal information is stored in hard copy only, held securely in a lockbox and maintained in safe custody. We only disclose personal information when legally required by government authorities.

We do not store or retain credit card information. You may request access to the personal information we hold about you. To do so, please contact us directly.

PAYMENT METHODS

We have credit card payment and bank transfer facilities.

Payments can be made directly into our Japanese account, which will be listed on the invoice.

Please ensure you reference your Surname and invoice number so we can identify your payment. We ask that you email a copy of the payment confirmation to info@kasasagilodge.com.

We can arrange for a credit card link via Stripe.

PROVISION OF SERVICE

For direct bookings, an invoice will be sent via email, settlement is as described.

Bookings made by platforms such as www.booking.com will be subject to the platform rules and regulations.

ARRIVALS AND DEPARTURES

Check-in time: 14:00 | Check out time: by 10:00

For guests arriving earlier, or departing later, luggage storage is available. Guests will have access to the lodge common areas until their room is ready or while awaiting departure.
